Heather Hawes was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and comes from a very gifted musical family. She has a background in piano and violin and has very strong Irish roots from her mother's family. Heather continues in her Nursing career on a part time basis. In her role as Administrative Manager she runs the day to day operation of the company as well as dealing with wholesale and retail sales.

 

 Grant Withers is the Production Manager of the company. His role is to ensure that the best raw materials are sourced and turned into hand made treasures of the highest quality. Along with the rest of the production team he works in the "shop" making our products right here in Nova Scotia. Grant started piping as an adult and enjoys being part of one of the local Halifax pipe bands.

 

 

Daphne Spurrell is our senior production team member. In her time here, Daphne has at one time or another worked on almost every product that L & M produces. From belts to pipe bags and our entire sporran line, she has done it all. Daphne is a very dedicated and professional crafts person and takes great pride in seeing her work in parades, Military Tattoos and the the movies!

  Virginia Withers is our Administrative Assistant here at L & M Highland Outfitters. She is the newest addition to our team and she is very excited to get to know all our regular customers as well welcome our new clients. Her role here includes wholesale & retail sales and orders, customer inquiries, quality assurance, shipping and price quotes.

 

 

 

Jody Abbott is our apprentice sporran maker, she is learning her new trade under the supervision of the senior production team members.

 

 Michelle Gormley has been sewing and working in clothing manufacturing her entire career. She has worked for some of the largest garment manufacturers in the region and we are extremely lucky to have found such an experienced craftsperson. Michelle is the backbone of sporran production here at L&M,most all of our leather and fur sporrans pass through her skilled hands. When finished, these are the finest crafted sporrans in the industry.

 

 

 

Lloyd Hawes works with us in production on a part time basis. He is retired from a career in public service and now helps to produce the components that go into our finished products.
